• How much does it cost to attend the New Dentist Symposium?
   Early Bird Fee - $190.00 (plus HST) – Deadline: August 31, 2017
   Regular Fee - $240.00 (plus HST) – Deadline: October 15, 2017
• What is included in my registration fee?
   a.  Two days of clinical and practice management CE plus daily keynotes
   b.  Ticket to the New Dentist Networking Cocktail Reception
   c.  Access to the Roundtable Exchange
   d.  Food and beverages for both days
   e.  Reduced hotel rate at the Hilton Toronto
• How do I register?
You can register online by credit card only. To learn more and to register, visit the Registration page.
• Do I have to check in when arriving at the Symposium?
Yes, Registration & Badge Pick-up begins at 7:00 - 8:00 am. Upon arrival, all attendees must check-in and pick up their badge and handout package at the registration desk.
• How do I get my name badge?
Badges will be handed out upon arrival at the conference at the registration desk. Badges will not be mailed out prior to the symposium.
Note: Attendees must scan their badges when they arrive each morning and again in the afternoon (after lunch) when entering the lecture room.
• How is my attendance verified at the New Dentist Symposium?
Scanning is used to verify attendance at the New Dentist Symposium through a barcode printed on your name badge. In order to ensure that attendance records are accurate, we ask dentists to scan in once in the morning and again in the afternoon (after lunch). If you do not scan in twice during each day of the symposium, we will not be able to verify your attendance at the symposium.
• How can I obtain a copy of my attendance record?
Your CE Certificate of Attendance record will be emailed to you after the symposium. It is the responsibility of each member dentist to maintain his or her own continuing education records and report their CE activity to the RCDSO.
• How many CE points can I earn at the New Dentist Symposium?
You can earn a total of 5 CE points in Category 2 and 8 CE points in Category 3 over the two days of the New Dentist Symposium.Please note that you must attend the full day in its entirety (morning and afternoon) to claim CE points. In order to receive all eligible CE points for each day of the symposium attendees must scan in in the morning and again in the afternoon. Attendees cannot claim CE points for attending half day of the conference.

The CE points earned at the New Dentist Symposium may be attributed to one of the following QA categories as per the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) Quality Assurance Program:

• Category 2: Clinical Courses
• Category 3: Practice Management
• Will food be provided at the New Dentist Symposium?
Yes, as part of the registration fee, Breakfast, Lunch and Snack breaks will be provided on both days of the symposium. Please see below for meal and snack timings.

Breakfast 7:00 - 8:00am (Breakfast will be served during registration)
AM Break 10:15 - 10:30 am
Lunch 11:45 am - 1:00 pm
PM Break 2:15 - 2:30 pm
• Can I earn CE Points if I arrive late?
If you arrive late, you will not be able to earn CE points for that particular day. Partial credits will not be allocated for attending only a portion of each symposium day. A 15 minute grace period after the first session will be in effect. If you arrive after the 15 minute grace period, you will not be able to scan in.
